At the meeting of the Guernsey Medic Network Steering Group on Wednesday 10th of May 2023, we were delighted that each partner organisation present signed our Memorandum of Understanding which sets out how we will operate as a network and collaborate on this exciting new project. This was also the first meeting that was attended by the wider group including the schools and Health and Social Care for the first time. The Steering Group is made up of one or two colleagues from each partner organisation and a meeting must include at least one member from the three groups: the schools, primary care and secondary care. After the network website officially launches in September, the Steering Group will meet approximately termly or half-termly to discuss and plan initiatives to support students and training doctors and to plan networking and CPD events. Anyone who has an idea for an event or an initiative can contact any member of the Steering Group or their network administrator and we would be delighted to hear from you.
