Sark Medical Centre

The Sark Medical Centre offers GP appointments & minor surgery service with the island's resident doctor. As with Guernsey and Alderney, primary care is a paid for service in Sark either by individuals or by their health insurance policies.

Residents and visitors alike may make use of the booked appointments system and can arrange home visits by calling the surgery.

First Responders

In the case of a medical emergency 999 should be called. Depending on the nature of the emergency, the appropriate Sark Emergency Service will be dispatched. This may include Emergency First Responders, Ambulance, the Sark Doctor, Fire Brigade or Constables.

If emergency travel to Guernsey is required, St. John's marine ambulance or the RNLI Lifeboat will be called. Patients who need secondary healthcare in Guernsey will usually pay for this themselves, or will be covered by their health insurance; it is not covered by the States of Guernsey contract.
