Congratulations to those of you who are about to go to university for the first time and welcome to all of you to the network.
Although you spend much of your time in the UK whilst you are at university, all partners on island would very much like to continue to support you during your studies. The opportunities in this section are not new but by bringing them together in one place, we hope you will be encouraged to look into them.
Please also join the Undergraduates Club where you can arrange meet ups with others at your university, share advice and support with others relating to exams, rotations and so on. We also welcome you joining the Applicants Club if you would like to share your experience and advice with the current sixth formers, and of course when you are nearing the end of your studies please also join the Junior Doctors club.

At IslandHealth, we are delighted to be able to offer learning and training opportunities to those either considering a career in medicine, or those already studying medicine. We are the only practice on the Island to offer GP placements to undergraduate students, and all of our GP’s, nurses and therapists welcome students readily. We have been offering GP placements for Medical Students for a number of years, and receive excellent feedback, particularly around exposure to patients and working in a supportive environment.
