September Drinks 2024

We were once again treated to the delicious canapes and welcome drinks of the Elizabeth College catering staff in September.

The networking events are always such an enjoyable evening with connections made between all those who attended.

New sixth formers who had just achieved their GCSE results were happy to chat with consultants and GPs across multiple disciplines, and set up individual opportunities for work experience whilst they decide whether medicine is a career they want to pursue. Those of us involved in teaching had the opportunity to chat with each other, our former students and practising doctors to keep our knowledge current to give and support those applying to the best of our ability.

Those about to go back to university were able to pick up tips from each other as a new university year begins and the particularly positive networking opportunity which is sometimes most surprising to those who come to our events for the first time - is between locally based doctors across all sectors and specialties who have a rare opportunity to catch up with each other face to face, in a way that emails, phone calls and letters doesn't quite achieve, 

Providing networking opportunities across all sectors was the key vision which lead us to set up the network and we hope to see even more of you at our next event, at Christmas.
