With almost three decades of experience in patient care, Dr Jerzy Minecki has joined the Medical Specialist Group (MSG) as a consultant anaesthetist.
Dr Minecki has been working at the North Devon District Hospital for the past two years, providing anaesthetic care and supporting patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Before his time there, he gained extensive experience in all specialty areas, including cardiac monitoring, renal replacement therapy, liver support, and intensive care ultrasound.
He has also trained junior doctors and trainee anaesthetists on a wide range of topics and best practices, encouraging them to use ultrasound equipment more frequently.
Dr Minecki said: ‘There is an excellent standard of care to uphold at the MSG. Working in hospitals around the UK, I have gained a deep understanding of the best patient care. I am looking forward to drawing upon this experience to help further enhance the care the MSG provides.
‘While I have been fortunate to have enjoyed a fulfilling career for over 27 years, there is always more to learn. It is exciting to further broaden my experience, particularly with the use of ultrasound, and share my knowledge and expertise with the wider team.’
MSG chair Dr Steve Evans said: ‘Jerzy has been dedicated to improving anaesthetic and intensive care for patients throughout his career. At the MSG, we greatly value consultants who are passionate about what they do and committed to providing the best care for our patients, so we are delighted Jerzy has joined us.’
